The 16 Days Campaign against Gender-Based Violence starts today!
The National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG) joins this campaign together with its member municipalities.
As part of the campaign, NALAG will promote messages aimed at raising public awareness to eliminate violence against women and domestic violence.
During the campaign, the Association will also disseminate narrative information about the forms and types of violence.
The 16 Days Campaign against Gender-Based Violence, which has been held worldwide since 1991, begins on November 25 – International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and ends on December 10 – International Human Rights Day.
During the campaign period, International Women Human Rights Defenders Day (November 29), World AIDS Day (December 1), International Volunteer Day (December 5), and Montreal Massacre Commemoration Day (December 6) are also observed.
